Breast / Chest Feeding Videos

First Droplets, led by expert Jane Morton, encourages parents to take advantage of the first few hours and days postpartum to help establish supply and prevent common challenges. You will learn how to use your hands to express milk, spoon and cup feeding, using your hands while pumping, and much, much more.
This is a great video that shows the stages babies go through as they work up to latching: resting (more than once!), opening their eyes, massaging the breast, putting their hands to their mouth, rooting, licking, using all of their reflexes to make their way to the breast and eventually latch on.
Laid back nursing is an amazing and underutilized way to latch your baby that encourages all of their innate responses and reflexes.
Paced bottle feeding mimics breast/chest feeding and can help prevent bottle feeding from negatively impacting breastfeeding. We recommend waiting to introduce a bottle until your supply is well established and baby’s latch is feeling really good, around 3-6 weeks.
